These terms cover your use of Hilm. We've kept them short and plain. By using the app or this site, you agree to them.
1. Using Hilm
Hilm ("we", "us", "the app") is a free companion for meeting anger the Sunnah way. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial spiritual and emotional practice. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse, copy, resell, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or its content.
2. Not medical or professional advice
Hilm is not a substitute for professional care. Its practices are rooted in the Sunnah and intended for spiritual and emotional support — not medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment. Nothing in the app constitutes professional advice or diagnosis.
If you are in crisis, or your anger may put you or others at risk of harm, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services immediately.
3. Religious content
Hilm presents Qur'anic verses, hadith, and supplications selected with care. We aim for accuracy, but the app is not a substitute for scholarly guidance. For rulings and detailed religious questions, please consult a qualified scholar.
4. Your content
Reflections and check-ins you record stay on your device — we don't collect or store them. You are responsible for the device on which Hilm runs. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Availability
We offer Hilm "as is" and "as available". We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We don't guarantee the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
6. Intellectual property
The Hilm name, logo, design, written content, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. Using the app doesn't transfer any of those rights to you. Scriptural texts themselves are part of the shared Islamic tradition; our particular presentation, translations, and design are not.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hilm and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Hilm is a supportive tool; how you act on it remains your responsibility.
8. Third-party stores
If you download Hilm from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to your download and use. We are not responsible for those platforms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date above. Continuing to use Hilm after a change means you accept the updated terms.
